First Day of Kindergarten

Where has the time gone? Seriously.

So today I started my 21st year in education, and Addisyn began her first year in a long and exciting journey on the highway of education. Wow. She's growing up so fast. I pray that she makes lots of new friends at her new school, Ann Daulton Elementary School, soaks up as much as her little brain can handle, and that Ms. Raggs is poised and ready for an exciting year of teaching and learning. This timeline will be marked with lots of checkpoints and details.  Let's get the learning started!

Oh, and you can also follow along here: http://daultonkinder.blogspot.com/  You know I will!

Happy 5th Birthday, Addisyn!

Today IS the day. The birthday girl spent most of the day at "camp" sporting her birthday shirt that I purchased on sale at Gymboree. Ash posted this pic on Facebook with a birthday message:

Here's a recap of the fabulous party she had a few days ago at Pump It Up! Oh yes, and the birthday girl came with her hair flowing - her first blow dry/flat iron. I personally prefer her curls . . .

Fun times with friends -

Bug was a little apprehensive, so I "made" him try . . .

He was hooked after the first ride -

Time to transition to Room #2

Gran enjoyed the festivities too

Ashton striking up a convo with Brad -

Okay, so Red won the challenge -

Time to eat! The birthday girl on her throne -

Mimi patiently waits on her pizza -

Another cake from Crystal - strawberry on top (Addi's request) & vanilla on the bottom

Just waiting on cake . . .

Time to sing!!!

Eating up the moment -

Wow - AJ (Ashley junior - lol)

It was good time had by all. Thanks everybody!!

Random Summer Fun

Another round of swim lessons. Still a tadpole - more like an egg according to Ash, so the next phase will be private lessons: 1-on-1. I think Bug should join in the fun too!

A little skate time at a party - or not. Who invented the little "skate walkers"? Genius!

Soccer Season Ends

Okay, I confess. I didn't attend a single game this round. I know - Terrible Tainty, but Addi learned so much and really improved from the first season - at least that's what I was told ;-)

Celebrating with teammates & photo bombed by Ashton

Love that smile!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Ashton!

According to Ashley, this is Ashton's first and last big birthday bash house party. We'll see. It was a fun day with family and friends. The birthday boy was quite the trooper despite battling a double ear infection. (We found out the next day after a visit to Cook's Urgent Care. It was his first in six months after having tubes inserted.)

Red on the grill with the mini burgers -

Big sis didn't have any problems celebrating . . .

'Sup, Chief?

Tainty managed to get in a picture this round!

Inside chillin' and celebrating -

Crystal does it again with a fabulous cake!

Birthday boy was caught of guard by all the fuss!

Cousin Ronnetta was in town!

And a delayed candle blowout thanks to strong winds!

And my favorites of the day including our super selfies and few classic shots from Lauren with Mimi's glasses!

The next day Bug (with Addi's "managing") opened lots of great gifts from everyone. It was a fabulous time with Elmo and the gang! Here's a special thank you to Chief:
