Vacation in the Piney Woods

Ash and Red have a timeshare at The Villages in Flint, Texas. Since Red is transitioning to becoming a feeder driver and his schedule in unpredictable, he wasn't able to join the gang. I was invited to tag along for a few days of fun before the start of school.

Killing time before we check in . . .

Bug is still not aquatic-minded. He and Ash left early for his nap, but of course the mermaid wanted to shut the indoor water park down.

My roomie . . . sideways in the bed as usual

A few hours at Lake Palestine that morning. Addi and Ashton's Cousin Taylor hooked us up with a quick paddle boat ride. Lots of work for me and Ash, but the kids enjoyed it. Ducks, turtles, and fish were eagerly awaiting our bounty of goodies.

Finished the day at the Tyler Zoo. No, it's not Fort Worth, but it's a zoo, and the crew loves animals. Short visit (though I think we saw everything); my migraine was in full force, and Ashton developed constipation issues. We were a mess!

The largest rodent in the world - yuck!

Chillin' - it was HOT by then!

Delayed 6th Birthday Celebration

Long story short . . .

I wasn't able to attend Ladybug's 6th birthday party at Skatium in Arlington!

The party when on without me (drama included - but Miss Savanah recovered quickly), so after my return from San Marcus with a great group of kiddos, I promised Addi a personal party redo with a friend of her choice. She chose Hawaiian Falls and Brielle of course. We spent the WHOLE day enjoying the sunshine and water!

Camp Tainty 2015

The crew spent a few days with Mimi and Chief, one night on Primrose, and then the rest of the week on Ponzano when their parents vacationed in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It was eventful as usual to say the least. Here's a recap of the week's highlights:

Tennis 101 -

Their first time out. I was able to find rackets for each at Walmart. Score! And the type of balls for learning, two-toned ones with less bounce. Mimi is hoping for the next Serena and Rafi. We'll see . . .

Adventures at the Young Chef's Academy -

Chocolate chip cookies and whoopee pies were on the afternoon menu. It was quite the site!

Story time while the goodies bake.

Gymnastics -

Ash had warned that Bug did not have the best experience the week prior. In fact, he spent most of his time in time out and not able to participate because he chose not to listen to instructions. Mimi went with me, and we were prepared for anything. Surprisingly, he did remarkably well, and decided that following directions was a good idea because he got to play and tumble. Add did a great job too. Don't know why I didn't get any pics or video of her...

Ashton Celebrates Turning 3 with the Paw Patrol

For someone with endless energy, a celebration at Pump It Up hit the spot. Addi had her turn here, and now it was Bug's. He partied with Paw Patrol, a half dozen members of his pre-school class, and a host of other family and friends!
