Second Semester School Days

This Texas winter continues to fight on, and the crew keeps learning everyday. Addi has made great strides in kindergarten, and Ashton is still head of the class at Here's a recap:

Day Out With Thomas

What a fun-filled Sunday afternoon we had yesterday. Ashton, Addi, Ash, Red, Chief and I got our chance to ride Thomas the Train during his stop at the historic Grapevine Vintage Railway Station.

Complete with the ride, the crew was also able to score a couple of tattoos, some time inside a sand pit, a petting zoo, and a gaming center that was set up inside the town's square. This was Ashton's second train ride in a few months, and he was absolutely overjoyed!

And the Island of Sodor would not be complete without a visit with Sir Topham Hatt!

It Was THIS Big!

Now this one really surprised me. Both members of the crew took Red up on an outdoor excursion to Joe Pool Lake for their first fishing trip. Of course, Ash stayed put, but the rest of the gang enjoyed their catches of the day!

It's Spring Break!!!!!!

Finally! I had the crew Sunday night through Wednesday evening. We partied like rock stars - well, somewhat like that. Here's how it went down . . .

Addi had to take a last-minute restroom break, and we almost missed the train from the DFW/Centerpoint Station. We literally had to run through the parking lot to catch it - Bug in arm, stroller in the other, and backpack on my back with Addi following close behind. So close, in fact, that I didn't have time to buy tickets at the depot. I did once we made it downtown . . . and somebody had to tinkle - AGAIN!

Back home with their peeps, but the fun continued . . .

Yes, winter will just not stop, and we were all surprised with this one last round. Another missed school day, but this time a little accumulation helped to make the day more interesting and fun.

It started off as a family project, but Ash finished it. Well that's the word on the street anyway . . .

Somebody Loses a Tooth

She would wiggle it and say it was loose what seemed like forever. Now it finally happened - at school during lunch. That million dollar smile is still fabulous - just in a different way LOL. The Tooth Fairy paid a visit the next morning. All Addi managed to collect was $1. Now with the economy on the upswing, I thought the TF would have been a little bit more generous, but that's just my two cents . . . Mimi agreed.
