The End of an Era, the Beginning of Another

Addi's last few days of school were a little tough for me. I didn't realize it would be a bid deal, but I'm gonna miss taking her to school every morning, walking her across the street and into Mrs. Dudley's class. Her unofficial school days have come to a close. In a few months, the real adventure begins. I know I'll be there along the way; it'll be a little different - that's all. Here's how we closed out Pre-K:

She got to experience Dubiski's Safe Driving Rally for a few minutes too!

The next to last day of school:

Another send-off assisted by Chief -

And the last day of Pre-K. Since Ash had to be at school "on time," I also had to comb Addi's hair before our last journey together . . .

The final send-off from little brother -

One last terrible selfie after buckling up :-/

The final walk to Thurgood Marshall Leadership Academy -

Why can't I take a picture on my phone that isn't blurry?????

A little breakfast, and it's a wrap. Next stop: Kindergarten!

Mayfest and Allergies 2014

The weekend festivities continued. It may have been early May, but the thermometer said otherwise. We tried to take advantage of the free tickets Nathan received from work, but it was entirely too HOT and particularly DUSTY to have much fun. We lasted about two hours. The crew did run in to neighbors, Brielle and Sydney for a brief visit as we were leaving.

And three days later . . . Bug begins breathing treatments! I hope the dust from Mayfest wasn't a trigger :-(

Day Trip - Fossil Rim

The first "road trip" with the crew went fairly well. Mimi joined the fun and adventure to Glen Rose, TX, and we spent the day at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Temperatures has been very mild, but typical Texas springtime weather threw us a curve ball. The thermometer topped out at 90 degrees, but we managed to stay cool and still enjoy what nature had to offer. Check it out!

Hello to you too -

Addi's turn.

Tainty's turn.

Bug's turn.

Nice lookout point view from the top!

She might be a good farmhand  . . .

Hmm . . .

"Think I found a new friend, Tainty!"

"Wanna play?"

"He's gonna eat me, Tainty!"

We were hoping the cheetahs wouldn't be out on the loose - lol.

And, Addi repeatedly apologized the last mile or so, "Sorry, we're all out of food!"
The End!

Random

A couple of Addi's creations via the Bug Builder app :

The note she left on my windshield after a surprise visit; unfortunately, I was in a darn meeting!

A few days later when she came back and got to see my office for the first time:

One of her last days with Mrs. Dudley, her Pre-K teacher. There is a special place in heaven for all Pre-K and Kinder teachers. There's got to be!
