The morning after our trip to the North Pole, we tried our hand and making sugar cookies. Let's just say it was fun.
And the final products . . .
And later that day, a visit to Funkytown wouldn't be complete without a trip to the trampoline park.
And we finished the day with a ride through Prairie Lights. - minus Mimi. I thought she didn't want to go this year, but I learned otherwise after the fact . . . oops.
The tradition continues and this year my and crew and I encountered a few new holiday experiences. As always, it was a blast, and you never know what to expect with these two . . .
First trip to Central Market - enough said . . .
A day in Grapevine and a special ride on the North Pole Express. It was our first adventure, and I'm sure it'll be our last. I bought these tickets on Halloween because they sell out so quickly. It was worth it . . .
Waiting in line - selfie boredom
All aboard!
It's Mrs. Claus!
I didn't find out until a few days later, but apparently Mrs. Claus' breathe wasn't pepperminty fresh :-/
Before departing, Ashton exclaimed, "Tainty, this isn't the North Pole. This is where we got on the train . . ." When I asked him if he wanted to see Santa, he said yes. I replied, "Well then you better get off the train and visit the Texas North Pole because that's where he is." End of discussion.
Almost showtime!
After the show
We met Santa! Here's the official Santa Christmas pic. It's a cutie.
