Lots of candy was collected, and we were all exhausted by the end of the night. Thanks to Nay Nay, we almost had to call for "rescue" - a little detour caused us to explore the LONG route...

The wind was a little brisk, but we decided to take advantage of our "free" tickets and journey to sunny South Dallas for the day. It was Ashton's first trip to the state fair, and Ash joined us this time.
We managed to tackle a corny dog, two chicken finger baskets, and a funnel cake. Next time, I'll remember to hunt down my catfish basket; it was truly missed.
All in all, it was a fun day, but Addi wasn't as adventurous as I expected . . .
Well, the first two weeks were filled with a few tears and a little uncertainty. Bug quickly determined that Chief was the "villain" (he chauffeured Ashton to school) and Mimi was the "hero"(she picked him up) in his Monday - Thursday pre-school routine. Nevertheless, they both managed to capture some of Ashton's first two months of school, and soon he decided that this school gig was a pretty okay deal...
